Research and Development
Business Scale-up and Productivity Program (BSP) Southern Ontario
Region: Ontario
Amount: $500,000 contributions (up to $10 million per project)
Deadline: Open Until Filled
This repayable, no-interest grant is available to biotechnology companies in Ontario looking to grow! It allows you to adopt and adapt innovative technologies that will help your company scale-up and become a global competitor.
Hiring
Project Learning Tree Canada
Region: Canada-wide
Amount: Up to $32,000
Deadline: Open Until Filled
This grant opens up job placements for youth in Green jobs. The program wants to fill over 1,000 Green jobs with this incentive. The grant offers a 50%-80% wage match with up to $32,000 available to employers. Take advantage of the money at your fingertips and start hiring!
Training
Government of Ontario — Apprenticeship Completion
Region: Ontario
Amount: $1,000
Deadline: Open Until Filled
This grant doubles as a hiring grant AND training grant! Are you looking to hire and train all with only one grant? This is the pick for you! This grant is open to employers who want to hire an apprentice who has finished their on-the-job/classroom training and received their final certification. Don’t have the money to pay for this expenses upfront? No worries! This grant does not require cash upfront!
Market Expansion
CanExport SMEs
Region: Canada-wide
Amount: $10,000 to $50,000 per project
Deadline: Open Until Filled
This grant covers 50% of project costs for small to medium-sized businesses interested in international development. The program helps with developing export opportunities for products or services into a new, non-Canadian market! Eligible businesses must have $100,000 to $100 million in annual revenue.
COVID-19 Recovery
Work-Sharing — COVID-19 Special Measures
Regions: Canada-wide
Amount: Varies
Deadline: Sept. 25, 2022
This grant helps employers to avoid layoffs when their business is experiencing a temporary decrease in normal business activity that is not within the control of the business/employer. This grant will provide income assistance to employees while they work a reduced schedule allowing the business to financially recover. Because of COVID-19, this grant was expanded from a 38-week agreement to a 76-week agreement, with the possibility of a 26-week subsequent agreement.
